It is clear when speaking to Darren and Cherrelle that both their resilience and passion for education is what fuels their startup. Having both worked in education for a number of years, the pair are developing EdFinders, a platform that makes it easy for educational staff to find and book workshop providers.

"You can see it on children's faces when they have a great workshop. They're inspired, full of ideas and intrigued to learn more. It's like they've had that 'lightbulb moment'"

In the video below, I catch up with Darren, Cherrelle

and their Product Manager at Nova, Ian Dixon. We discuss where the idea for EdFinders came from, the inspiration behind their startup and how they're tackling the challenges across their industry during the Covid-19 lockdown. 👇

*Fact check at 3:34: Startups with at least one female founder raised 21% more in venture capitalthan companies with all male teams.
